Egg Roll in a Bowl

Are you a huge egg roll fan? I love them! But I never order them because I try to stay away from fried foods. This will not disappoint! Even on nights like tonight when I don’t have all of the ingredients, it still tastes great! What’s one of your favorite foods you like to imitate cooking at home?

Egg Roll Bowl

Ingredients:

1 bag of shredded slaw with carrots (You can shred a head of cabbage and cut carrots if you don’t want to buy a bag

½ red pepper cut into strips

1lb Lean ground turkey

¼ cup braggs liquid aminos (replaces the soy sauce)

4 TBSP chicken broth

1 tsp ginger (finely grated)

2 tsp Garlic

2 TBSP green onion finely chopped

2 ½ tsp sesame oil

Siracha if you like it hot

Sesame seeds

Directions

Heat large skillet over medium heat and add sesame oil

Brown meat

Add in liquid aminos, chicken broth, garlic, ginger and siracha stir into meat. Cook for a few minutes until liquid evaporates. Add in cabbage, carrots and red pepper and cook until cabbage and veggies are soft and slightly transparent.

Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds.

Serving size ¼ of mixture or 2 cups. Makes 4 servings
